"Bombay" Pattern

Restaurant china identical to Matson "Bombay" china (but with no Matson back stamp) was manufactured for any buyer up through the 1980's.  Matson used this pattern in the 1930's, maybe the 1940's, but not since.  Only china actually marked for Matson has any value to the maritime china collector, the more recent stuff is just generic junk.  Any merchant selling this pattern from the 1970's or '80's (check the back stamp) as "Matson" ship china is shamelessly just tryng to scam their customers.  Don't be their next victim.
