Always check the backstamp. This pattern was recently reproduced for the California State Railroad Museum, and is presumed to be so back marked. In any case, these pieces would not have a vintage Syracuse, Bauscher or Hutschendreuther backmark. While such pieces might be nice to dine on, they have no collector's value. Collector Matt Di Nicola wrote that he has seen the backstamp of the CSRM reproductions and that it clearly marks them as reproductions. He also notes that the creamers and gravy boats are larger than the originals, to make them more useful on the home front. Thanks Matt.
