It might be a good idea to check the backstamp on this pattern. Recently I saw offered for sale an Eagle small plate, but it was on modern, scalloped-edge Syracuse china. It looked authentic enough (didn't see it up close), but it was date coded for 1980, and as as I said, it was on scalloped-edge china, which didn't even exist in pre-Amtrak days. I don't know the who, why or how, but it is clearly not authentic MP dining car china. Besides the scalloped edge, the quick tip off is the modern Syracuse logo, which features a dining table scene - no pre-Amtrak china has this logo!
